About Lisa Dowler, Phd
I am independent dance artist originally from the NW of England, currently living in Les Landes, SW France. I am an experienced facilitator of dance and movement with significant experience in Higher Education and Healthcare. My PhD awarded by the Centre for Dance Research, C-DaRE, Coventry University, by Published Works is entitled, 'Towards a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare: A case for dance improvisation in the clinical and care setting'. This draws on practice research developed over my 17 years as Dance Artist in Residence at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool.
