In this position, I was responsible for taking care of all of the equipment needs hospital wide within the Kalamazoo Campus. I cleaned, reprocessed, sent out equipment on a per needed basis, worked with hazardous materials that I sent to our reprocessing department for sterile cleaning, was responsible for making sure that our code carts are up to date and viable for use. I also transported TPNs to nursing units for patient consumption and other bodily fluids to our Out-patient lab for courier pickup, also within the campus.

I worked at Bronson Hospital for almost 9 years. I held 2 other positions within the company. I started out as a Patient Safety Assistant, in this role it was my duty to take care of patients in direct care to make sure that they were safe and with daily tasks and helped nursing staff with what they needed for the patient. I then moved into the Environmental Services Department, where I was in charge of 2 units to clean daily. I was in in-direct care with the patients at this position that I held for 4 years. During this time I was given the title Safety Champion, because of my strong skill set and my excellence in keeping my department clean and safe for my co-workers to work in. My attention to detail has always been a strong asset to my jobs. I have strong inter communication/customer service skills, problem solving. I can work alone or with a group, I'm strongest working with a group, because I like to share my ideas with my staff.
