Business unit representative and SME (Subject Matter Expert) in a multi-year company-wide migration to a single, unified global ASL (Approved Supplier List). Collaborated with 34 MITG sites globally; led data migration of 4600+ suppliers and 6000+ supplier files. Managed indirect and contracted employees to support the ASL migration. Developed training strategy, schedule, materials, and executed training to all MITG sites globally. Created job aid library and developed additional tools to facilitate change and to ease the transition to the new process post launch. Remained a core team member of the Post Launch Global ASL Governance Team to support global standardization.

Sourcing lead supporting multiple sites in the design and development of Medtronic’s Robotic Assisted Surgery platform. Key member of cross-functional supplier selection team that assessed capabilities of contract manufacturers to partner with and support the design, development, and manufacturing. Led the qualification effort of 53 directed suppliers to the selected contract manufacturers. Managed supplier relationships and delivery of 3000+ components to support the rapid delivery of working prototypes following the Agile development model and ensure success in maintaining program launch schedule. Created and implemented first system driven process to communicate material disposition to our contract manufacturers.

Served as New Product Introduction Procurement Lead for Boeing 767-2C Tanker and CH53K Programs. Managed new part design procurement including, flow-down of requirements (drawings and design specifications), quoting, price evaluation, negotiation and purchase order placement. Maintained all development deliveries for 1200 parts via right-to-left tracking through all procurement stages. Tracked design-to-cost (DTC) at both system level and piece-part level; validated DTC costs and negotiated long-term agreements (LTA’s) to ensure program profitability.

Represented the Operations group in multiple process improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives. Project leader for the creation, implementation and training of a web based supplier portal. Negotiated Long Term Agreements (LTA) with suppliers and participated on multiple cost savings project initiatives.

Procurement lead of an acquisition transition team to close a manufacturing facility in South Carolina for relocation to Connecticut. After move was successfully completed, created procurement strategy and action plan to consolidate supply base and integrate with existing supply base which resulted in a reduction of 146 suppliers (75% of spend) and achieve cost savings of 7% of total spend year one and 10% in year two. Negotiated and implemented stocking agreements with the top five suppliers putting 67% of the highest volume parts on Kanban to reduce inventory levels, increase inventory turns and improved on-time delivery for this rapidly growing acquisition. Facilitated and participated in multiple kaizen events including VSM, 5S, Standard Work, and SMED in both Danaher and supplier facilities.
