After serving as a summer law clerk for STK, I joined the firm when I graduated from law school in 1983. I worked in the area of medical malpractice defense, insurance defense and hospital law, preparing cases for trial and advising hospitals on a variety of issues, including compliance with bylaws and JCAH regulations. The last 2 years were spent defending two hospitals who were accused of antitrust violations by a physician whose staff privileges had been revoked--we prevailed.
