During my time in the Coca-Cola company, I worked in the ingredients section of the laboratory . Here I was responsible for the testing and release of raw materials for use in production. I worked with a wide range of equipment including the refractometer, NIR, density meter, pH meter, UV, viscosmeter. I carried out both daily and monthly calibrations on the equipment. I followed SOPs and adhered to all GMP and GLP guidelines. I was also trained to use the software SAP.

For the 4 and half years I worked in The Junction Restaurant, I always delivered high standards of customer service. I was able to work well extremely well under pressure during busy periods and for long and extended hours. I was confident with all cash handling and credit card payments. Also had to ensure all areas were clean and adhered to the company Health and Safety requirements.

During my student placement in the EPA, I carried out general lab duties including daily checks of equipment. I was responsible for the preparation on internal standards, quality control standards and calibration standards. I was trained to follow SOPs to determine the Chemical Oxygen Demand(COD) and Chlorophyll levels in water.
