Lisa Ehrlich works for the California DOJ's Civil Rights Enforcement Section, which enforces civil rights laws on behalf of state agencies and on behalf of the Attorney General in her independent capacity. Ms. Ehrlich concentrates on matters in which there is a pattern or practice of the violation of a civil rights law or where an important or unsettled issue of law is presented. Her work consists of conducting investigations and filing civil actions in state and federal courts. Ms. Ehrlich received her Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School in 2009, where she served as editor in chief of the Stanford Environmental Law Journal, one of the oldest environmental law publications in the county. She also participated in the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, helping to secure victories in Jimenez v. Quarterman, 555 U.S. 113 (2009), and Flores-Figueroa v. United States, 129 S. Ct. 1886 (2009).
