I developed proposals and reports to foundations, corporations, and individual funders for Facing History's New England, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco offices. I also worked on several organization-wide proposals to high-impact institutional funders, securing donations ranging from $400,000 to $1 million. In total, I helped to raise nearly $2 million for my regional offices and for the organization as a whole during my time at Facing History.In addition to my core proposal and report-writing responsibilities, I supported my regional fundraisers by writing white papers, letters of interest, and other collateral necessary for meetings with foundations, corporations, and individual funders. I also conducted prospect research for my regions.Finally, I supported the Foundation Relations team by peer-reviewing reports and proposals developed by my team members. I also created new reporting for my team to more accurately track year-over-year progress and trends in single vs. multi-year gifts, restricted gifts, new gifts, and lapsed giving. Following leadership transitions, I assumed the responsibilities of the Director of Foundation Relations following. These responsibilities included serving as the main point of contact for the Foundation Relations team, managing and triaging new projects, overseeing the relationship management of high-impact donors, and representing the Foundation Relations team at regular meetings with Facing History's senior leadership.

I've been a copywriter for nearly 10 years, working for various pop culture clients including Refinery29 and Nylon.com. I've also written for Elsevier Connect and SciTech Connect, Elsevier's blog for the science and technology community, largely highlighting advances in biomedical research.

As an EPM, I managed 50-60 multi-contributed books at any one time, largely related to biomedical research (cancer research, genetics/genomics/epigenetics, regenerative medicine) but also in other topics in the life sciences.I created formatting and submission guidelines for each book, developed contracts and maintained project tracking databases, allowing for rapid resolution of contributor concerns.I began a successful initiative to increase author satisfaction by creating unique live speaking opportunities, video and digital interviews, and promotional blog posts. In 2016 I conceptualized and ran "The Next Giant Leap: Making the Cancer Moonshot a Reality", a panel event bringing the Boston cancer community together in a conversation about the future or cancer research in the next 5-10 years. This event featured a panel discussion featuring renowned experts in the field, each approaching cancer research from a different perspective. "The Next Giant Leap" was attended by over 100 researchers at Harvard, MIT, Novartis, and other key institutions.In addition to my regular duties as a project manager, I continuously developed engagement opportunities for authors. This included an event highlighting the work of 4 women scientists working in the developing world. In addition to discussing their research, these researchers also spoke about the challenges of being women in male-dominated fields and the challenges and limitations of doing research in developing countries.

I designed and wrote daily e-mail newsletters for seven different markets.I analyzed and recorded data from 40-50 unique e-mails per week to expand readership, in addition to participating in market research, story conceptualization, and copyediting to support Editorial department.I researched, wrote, designed, and coded over 500 fashion-, pop-culture, and design-related articles throughout my tenure.
