Most people I know, including myself, were hard-working, blue-collar job, people.  The "middle-class" of society.  We had it pretty good and for most of us, we never thought we would see the day of lost jobs, a cut in pay, or the financial impact this would take on all of us. I started my career at the age of 18, as a heavy equipment operator.  I transitioned into the safety side after a fatality that occurred in my workplace.  10 years later, I never thought I would have to take a second job to make ends meet. I'm still a safety advisor, which is a career I absolutely love, but I've also taken on another position in which I can help people.  I've learned that my passion in life is exactly that.  Helping others!
