As Sr. Director of Business Development, I work with a team of sales, proposal, marketing and government relations professionals to help position WellCare as the leader in providing quality services to our members and customers across the country. I have helped oversee more than $3.5 billion in revenue growth in just three years and have played a significant leadership role in positioning WellCare as the top Medicaid Managed Care company in reprocurements with a 100% win rate for existing lines of business. I served a lead role in securing the company's first new state win in several years, leading both field development, capture management and proposal development. Hired as a change agent, I have helped build new capabilities across the organizations and designed a proposal team, growing from a staff of 3 to a current staff of 16 writers, proposal managers, graphic artists and librarians.

As Chief of Staff, I was a key member of the executive leadership team and served as the primary liaison with the customer assisting with account management. I also oversaw stakeholder engagement, communications, public relations and governmental relations along with the CEO and sat in for the CEO with stakeholder organizations and the customer as needed. I prepared all customer reports and presentations and worked across functions to help solve for critical operational issues before they become problems. I also assisted the company in business development, helping cross-functional teams develop presentations and proposals for new lines of business. Additionally, I maintained the duties of Director of Communications.

As Director of Communications, I was responsible for all media, customer communications, public relations and marketing for Magellan's Louisiana Care Management Center. My duties included overseeing a staff of system developers who work with stakeholders across Louisiana communities to transform the state's behavioral health system. I was a key liaison with the customer and other key stakeholders, working with my colleagues on the executive leadership team and across company departments to think critically and work through important issues.

As Director of Communications for the Department of Health and Hospitals, I oversaw a staff responsible for all communications, marketing and public relations for the Department. My primary role was media relations, particularly crisis communications. I oversaw all communications and media relations during the BP Oil Spill as well as various natural disasters. I also led the marketing effort for the transition to Medicaid Managed Care overseeing a large marketing contract to help educate beneficiaries to the pending changes. Working across departments to produce educational materials, our team was also responsible for all flyers, posters, annual reports, and other materials used across the state. Additionally, I oversaw the department's Web site, including a significant redesign of the site.

As the second in charge of the Newsroom, my duties as managing editor included overseeing a staff of about 40 employees including mid-level managers to produce The Advertiser's products daily, including the daily newspaper, Web site and special publications and online offerings. I also helped develp and manage the newsroom budget and worked across departments to allocate space in publications. I worked to develop employees and oversaw several award-winning projects. As a leader in Gannett, I participated in the company's specialized leadership program and was a key player in helping our newspaper navigate major industry change.
