I taught high school culinary arts to students from around Rutland County. The curriculum we developed was focused on kinesthetic learning while running a real food business, with a focus on preparing students to be successful professionals. Service learning, exceptional customer service, and personnel management skills are other key ingredients I brought to the program. Also taught after school and summer enrichment classes.

Collaborated with the camp director to create an engaging, active two week camp curriculum based on the Vermont Rosie's Girls model, teaching middle school aged girls "non-traditional" skills. The camp included lessons in carpentry, welding, self defense, women's history, team building, music, poetry, martial arts, rock climbing, and more. I taught a cooking class and had a drum circle and songwriting session, as well. Girls arrived shy and quiet, and left empowered and self confident. This was one of the best experiences of my life. I have taught many more freelance camps and classes to people of all ages and backgrounds, from diabetics to busy parents to Chinese exchange students to GE employees.

Co-authored the cookbook "Recipes for Living, 2011." Taught group and private cooking classes focused on nutrition and healthy eating. Contributed "Healthy Cooking Thursday," an article featuring new recipes which I developed, photographed, wrote, and edited weekly, for the nationally recognized weight loss blog "A Weight Lifted." Executed menu while catering to special dietary needs of clients, including extensive food allergies.

Taught K-6 general, vocal, and instrumental music. Coordinated events including concerts and plays.
