The primary responsibilities of my current role as a DevOps Engineer within DG's Geospatial Cloud Services organization include: supporting DG's online imagery Search and Discovery application, catalog image and map services, along with geometry micro-services all which promote access, online ordering, and sales of DG's imagery products. Geospatial Cloud Services provides robust services to its customers all around the world. The operations team is responsible for building and operating the aWS Cloud infrastructure reliably and at scale, both for customers as well as content partners and developers. As a member of the team, I have a direct impact on design and feature enhancements to keep our systems running smoothly.I build automated systems that ensure our operations are safe and efficient by monitoring performance, coordinating configuration and maintenance, detecting failures in hardware components, and responding to issues. Our system generates a constant set of challenges which require continuous innovation with an evolving set of technologies. The primary responsibilities of my current position have centered on project management, development, and maintenance of search and discovery tools that are used to expose and promote sales of vast archive of imagery and imagery related products; to support ad-hoc GIS mapping and analysis of available archive imagery for commercial and private sales and marketing studies; to support and assist in the maintenance of our geospatial inventories; and to promote the use of imagery catalogs for product searches through internal- and web-based mapping applications and web services. Specific areas of responsibility and accomplishments are outlined below:• Esri Crisis Response Support – Implementation of ArcGIS Server 10.1 in support of online access and collaboration using Imagery Web services.• GeoFUSE Imagery Catalog Tools – Providing ongoing Project Management and Team participation in the design, prototype, architecture, development, organization and rollout of our Next Generation Imagery Catalog tools which enable search and discovery and order analysis of GeoEye’s Imagery Catalog. • Archive Catalog Administration - Assist with AdHoc SQL Database administration and reporting management and monitoring of automated scripts and SDE Geodatabases used to generate standard output such as ESRI Shapefiles and other spatial database reports.• Product Documentation & Maintenance – High Level & Detailed User Requirements, System and Network Architecture Diagrams, System Hardware & Software Inventory.• Geographic Information System Development and Support – Assist in the design and implementation of ESRI Desktop and ArcGIS Server projects..• Project Management & Coordination – Task development and management of internal and contracted resources.

Metrolist, Inc. Denver, CO – Completed a project Discovery Phase that included facilitating discussions with project stakeholders and eliciting and documenting business and technical requirements of a GIS mapping component to be developed within an ASP .Net Member Portal application framework. • Document system and business objectives, short term and long term functional requirements, and evaluate current domain state existing technology products and systems evaluation. • Identified viable architectural solution alternatives. Assessment included a timeline for deployment, resource requirements and identification of risks and recommendations • Reviewed the current ESRI tools (ArcServer, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ArcImageServer, Network Analyst, and Routing Analyst) for their relevance within the Metrolist NextGen system architecture. • Provided an evaluation of emerging trends and best practices within the GIS domain as well as an analysis of alternatives for validity and reasonableness within the Metrolist enterprise. • Lead executive briefings and presentations to review and discuss findings.
