About Lisa Foote

As stated by Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you make them feel." This is something I strive for. I enjoy meeting new people, collaborating, and transcending cultural differences. I am high-energy, a quick learner, and a thought leader who can adapt to any situation and deliver results. I love developing my skills and learning new ones. My mission is to empower others to reach their full potential and achieve their personal and professional goals. To help with that, I use my experience in leading health communication and behavior change projects to help internal and external clients achieve their strategic visions. Because of my passion for understanding people and how they can live their best lives, I apply this to my work in creating and implementing effective change management solutions that foster and enhance corporate culture and employee engagement. At HMS, I worked with an amazing leadership team. Our former CEO, Bill Lucia, along with Deb Kelly, someone who introduced me to the world of OD, featured me in their book, Leading With Your Head and Your Heart.A quick snippet of something I said about leadership - side note, leadership isn't just for those who have direct reports, anyone in an organization can be a leader if they want to be. "Once people are enabled and set free, you can learn so much more about them and their motivations. And it's amazing to see them blossom and grow. That's when an unstoppable sustainable environment is formed - because everyone is thinking 'we are in this together.'"To create this type of environment, it's helpful to define your values and understand others. Here are mine: 1. Respect: We don’t have to like each other or agree on things, but we do need to accept each other's thoughts and ideas by not being rude or close-minded. 2. Trust: When actions align with words, there is trust. 3. Authenticity: Be you! You don’t need to hide any piece of who you are. 4. Diversity: Accept that you don't know everything and that bringing in others for their thoughts and ideas helps be innovative. 5. Fun: Work is work, but that doesn't mean it can't be a good time and something you enjoy. Personally, when I'm not working, you can find me going to concerts and/or hanging out with my husband and our two fur babies, Cavern (rescue dog) and Jack (rescue cat). If you want to exchange musical suggestions or talk about engagement ideas, connect with me and/or send me a message!
