Harmonious Beginnings Music Therapy Services is a Music Therapy clinic in Racine, WI. Initially, it was a private practice serving children 0-18 with special needs. The practice is slowly growing into a clinic serving children 0-18 as well as adults with special needs. The newest expansion of services includes individualized contract services and grant collaboration.

In my role as the Multi- Generational Choir Director, I have had the opportunity to get to know some amazing people. I arrange songs and incorporate instrumental as I can. It's been a wonderful creative outlet for me and a chance to try out all kinds of ideas. In my volunteer work at Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church includes 1 term (3 years) on the Board of Truses, Facilitator for the Sexuality Education classes- Our Whole Lives (OWL) curriculum and Sunday School assistant.

During the League Year, 2012-2013, I served as Chair of the Community Research Committee. Our big project for the year was to implement a play and learn program for at risk children with a parent involvement component, called Learning inside Out and Upside Down or LiOUD (pronounced loud). We collaborated with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services to provide a weekly play group for families in the neighborhood surrounding the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. It was a wonderful experience and I learned so much in this leadership role!In 2016, I took on the role of Nominating Placement Chair. Getting to know our membership and finding the right placements for each member was a fun challenge. I love putting together committees and slates full of people who work well together.

Building a Music Therapy program and integrating it into an established TBI rehab program. I worked on a team with Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Recreational Therapy to provide in patient rehabilitation to patients recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury.

As Lead therapist for WEAP, I implemented a behavioral program customized for a young boy with ASD and supervised the line therapists on the team.
