· Screen all self-pays in either in-house or via phone for possible 3rd party assistance and/or charity care. · Complete 3rd party assistance applications with patient and/or family while in-house. · Accurately predict and assist patient in obtaining all necessary documents to complete application.· Update the patient's file and appropriate computer systems each time the account is worked. · Additional job responsibilities include processing return mail, filing, scanning, faxing, mass mail-outs, ordering supplies, and any additional duties as assigned. - Responsible for a wide variety of reporting including daily Approval/Denial Reports, weekly billing reports, internal quality assurance reports and reconciliation reports. - Monitor quality and quantity of referred patients and applications taken to ensure that they are submitted accurately, completely and on a timely basis- Ensure adherence to all RCA policies and procedures by Staff and address variances in process or procedures- Work high dollar / high risk cases in coordination with Staff- Provide coverage for absent staff or staff on extended leave
