I graduated from Crystal Springs High School in 1978 and from UC Berkeley in 1982. I moved east to work for Congressman Norman Mineta in DC and then for the Women's Sports Foundation in NYC. In 1991, I earned a Master's in Social Work and a Master's in Public Administration from Columbia University. I served on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich for 20 years. I was the board chair for four years, and I co-chaired the Governance and the Strategic Planning Committees. In 2021 I was the happy recipient of the BGCG’s Champion of Youth Award. In 2017, I joined the Board of Waterside School and I became the Board Chair in 2020. Waterside is a co-ed PK-5th Grade independent school serving children and families regardless of limitations in income or circumstance. The school attracts and inspires students of academic promise and families deeply invested in their children’s success.I am proud to also be involved with the National CASA/GAL Association for Children. CASA supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy for children and youth in foster care. As a member of their National Board of Trustees, I chair the Resource Development Committee and am a member of the Executive Committee. As a current trustee of Grassroot Soccer, I chair the Governance Committee. Grassroot Soccer is an adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize at-risk youth in sub-Saharan Africa to overcome their greatest health challenges, live healthier, more productive lives, and be agents for change in their communities.My previous board memberships include Greenwich Country Day School, Planned Parenthood of CT, Greenwich Soccer Association, the Red Ribbon Foundation, and Putnam Indian Field School. In my hometown of Greenwich, CT, I was elected to the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting in 2017 where I represented District 11 for four years. In that time I served on the Governance Committee, the Community Development Block Grant Committee, and the Education Committee. I have four children with my husband, Scott, and we love tennis, skiing, water skiing, kite boarding and Broadway musicals. "No day but today."
