Litigating cases involving the division and valuation of assets, consisting of varied tangible and intangible assets, including intellectual property and corporate compensation packages. Collaborating with certified financial planners, lending institutions, tax and estate attorneys, and corporate attorneys to restructure entities and manage the entry and exit of individuals from various types of closely-held companies. Working in conjunction with tax and estate attorneys and forensic accountants to develop a case valuation and cost-benefit analysis based strategy. Successfully obtaining injunctive relief for clients to prevent fraudulent transfer, sale or other dissipation of assets.

Concentrated practice in the areas of corporate, contract, employment, and domestic law. Participated in the resolution of various business disputes in state and federal court at the trial and appellate levels, including commercial and residential real estate and construction contract litigation, environmental compliance issues, shareholder disputes, wrongful death, premises liability, Title VII and FLSA claims. Conducted on-site investigations for employers, gave status reports to executive boards, reviewed employer policy for compliance, liaised with internal Human Resources personnel and developed educational materials for employer training.

Participated in the prosecution of a wrongful termination claim against a state-funded university that involved both an administrative and federal court component and the prosecution of a qui tam claim. Assisted in numerous real estate and commercial construction contract and tort claim cases that often involved multi-state actors and required emergency injunctive relief. Prepared and presented an employment law update and a USERRA case review for the Northwest Mississippi Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Participated in numerous bench and jury trials, both at the state and federal level.
