This enabled me to gain promotion to Vice Principal at Sandy Upper School. Within the 2 years at Sandy Upper School as the new Vice Principal:• Sandy Upper School - we were awarded an OFSTED grade 2 within 9 months of starting at the school. It was rated inadequate when we joined. • In both 2014 and 2015 we achieved 81% 5 A*-C including English and Mathematics (53% in 2013). 0.5 P8.• I was successful in raising Teaching and Learning from inadequate to good in 9 months. • I increased the Sixth Form ALPS score from 7 to 3 in 1 year. Our second year we achieved an ALPS score of 2. 0.5 VA equivalent. • Sixth Form AS ALPS increased from 7 to 3. • We were the highest performing school in Bedfordshire and most improved school in the country for 2014-2015, 2015-2016• We received a letter from Rt Hon David Laws to award us for being in the top 100 performing state schools in 2014-2015• We received an SSAT award for being in the top schools for Value Added measures• We were nominated for a National Business Award for being the highest national performing school in 2014. • We received the PIXL award for achievement and being the most improved school.
