Based within one of the largest nationally and internationally renowned integrated Children’s' Centre, the Research base provides a unique conference, education & research facility. The purpose built facility offers professional development including PHD, MA, BA & FD in the early years environment. Pen Green Research base received school Status in Sept 2008Description of dutiesSupervision of Research Base Finance staff • Member of the Middle Management Team and Governor • Preparing reports ready for presenting to Governors, Senior Managers, budget holders on a monthly basis • Use the agreed budget to actively monitor & control performance to achieve value for money • Monthly reconciliations of school bank Accounts • Authorise orders and raise payments to suppliers • Oversee the Purchase & Sales ledgers, including assisting with credit control • Set up payment plans with students & other debtors as required • Jointly responsible Pen Green Research Base budgets, both setting/production of and monitoring of on a monthly basis along with the Finance Manager • Assist in Preparation of the Charity Accounts and associated financial accounting activities, Assist in all Year End operations for Pen Green Research Base & Pen Green Charity • Responsible for over 20 cost centres ensuring they all reconcile at the end of each month • Responsible for the Payroll correspondence to Northamptonshire County Council/ Strictly Education• Identify additional finance required to fund the schools activities • Deputise the Finance manager & cover the Pen Green Children’s Centre Bursar during leave & sickness. •Arrange Currency for Overseas trips including payment of payments and raising of invoices where due. •Reconciliation of all Government Procurement Cards on monthly basis and recharge where needed
