As a developmental optometrist, I am interested in HOW your visual interpretation influences WHAT you see and how much EFFORT you expend to use your visual system. Vision is not just about being able to see an object clearly. I can help you determine how your visual skills are impacting your ability to learn, read, and be productive.As an orthokeratologist, I use contact lenses to reshape the cornea so that patients can be free from glasses and contacts during the day without undergoing surgery. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with University Honors from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science in Genetics in 2002. I received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2006. I have received an additional 100 hours of post-graduate education in vision therapy, binocular vision and accommodative disorders, amblyopia and strabismus, and post brain injury vision rehabilitation. Her professional interests are in primary care, binocular vision disorders (including double vision, amblyopia, and strabismus), orthokeratology, pediatric optometry, sports vision, and vision therapy.I married my college sweetheart John Januskey. Together, we started Precision Eye Care in 2007 with the goal of helping members of their community reach their full potential. We have five children Audrey, Joey, twins Brandon and Bradley, and Jake. We are parishioners at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. In my (limited) spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, reading science and military fiction, attending OPAS productions and Aggie football games, and continuing to learn (I'm a big nerd).
