Following the 5 leading principles of the city of Edmonton and contributing to the delivery of customer service at a rate of excellence for Citizen Services. I oversee the operation of preschool programs offered in 7 facilities across the city. This portfolio includes the coordination and supervision of preschool summer camps across the city and supervision of camps on the south side of Edmonton. In all, there is a total of 200+ offerings for preschool children and their families. In addition to preschool and camp coordination, I provide constant and consistent support to the children's experiences team on the Physical Activities Unit, promoting physical literacy, implementing Dance Pl3y, delivering HIGHFIVE (PHCD/QUEST/Program Planning for Aboriginal Communities/ Strengthening Children's Mental Health) workshops and providing training to all front line staff, including Jr. Leaders, YMCA exchange students and volunteers working on the children's experiences team.

A strong and committed advocate for individuals and families living with multiple sclerosis. I held a vast portfolio that included designing, coordinating, and implementing recreation programs for adults living with MS and children & youth affected by MS. Facilitated regularly scheduled support groups for couples and young adults. In addition to developing activities and programs enhanced by an emotionally safe and supportive environment during summer camps and overnight retreats for teens and couples, the portfolio included the coordination of physical fitness programs on site and out in the community. With that, collaborating with various private businesses and municipalities to enhance the quality of life was an integral part of the role. Intake referrals were also a daily expectatons in this position.

Overseeing the day to day operation of the "Beyond 3:30" pilot project created by TDSB's charitable organization. Liaising with school administrators, stakeholders and community partners to best suit the needs of the youth attending model middle schools.

Oversee the day to day operation of a licensed school-age program, for children in kindergarten - grade 6. Executed the expansion of the licensed program to accommodate a total of 65 children.

Implemented scripted Disney programs, supervising up to 200 children on board and land. Proven track record to sustain a positive disposition in a fast pace, high stress environment having worked at sea through 4 hurricaines, fulfilling 10 hours /day, 7 days / week for a 4 month contract, providing magical moments for all ages aboard the Disney Wonder.
