About Lisa Kirkbride

For 25 years I have worked within Scottish public sector social work and scrutiny and improvement organisations. Initially as a social care worker supporting children with complex healthcare needs, I developed a passion for delivering high quality care and support for children and families. As a social worker I specialised in care assessment and child protection work for children and young people. This included work with looked after young people affected by injustice, sexual exploitation, homelessness, addiction and mental health. Over the last 17 years I have worked as an inspector, professional adviser and team manager. My responsibilities have included registration, inspection and complaints work with a broad range of care and support services provided for children, young people and young adults.
