Provides courtroom assistance for all types of cases on a daily basis including Civil and Criminal litigation, Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice and Family law.Marks and takes into custody all exhibits entered into evidence; reads charges and indictments to defendants in court. Coordinates calendars between internal offices and external agencies, re: scheduled conferences, evidentiary hearings, etc.Prioritizes incoming traffic (calls, mail, etc.) and delivers to appropriate personnel.Assists in the jury selection process; conducts roll call of all jurors, records number of strikes taken by each attorney, and maintains a list of all jurors selected.Administers appropriate oaths for jurors, witnesses, interpreters, etc.Records proceedings of court activity in a clear, concise, and legible manner to be used for permanent docket.Records informal proceedings in Judge’s chambers.Enters and updates data into computer system.
