I enjoy collaborating and creating innovative designs to solve complex and expensive problems. Educated as an engineer and experienced as a people and thought leader, I am passionate about leading people to address these problems, resulting in reduced costs and improved employee and customer experience.My unique depth and breadth of experience in Supply Chain Leadership includes Reverse Logistics, Strategy and Capability Development, Inventory Management, Facility and Network Design, and Lean and Continuous Improvement. I have led teams of directors, managers, engineers, program managers, process designers, analysts (demand planning, supply chain, forecasting, space) and all roles in distribution center operations. Reverse Logistics and Return Reduction became an interest and expertise of mine, due to the nature of returns consistently creating new challenging opportunities. In addition, there is increasing importance in this field due to return rates increasing as a result of e-commerce growth and the increasing expectations of customers regarding organizations participation in sustainable practices. I enjoy helping retailers and manufactures address this very complex and substantial opportunity.I am a noted thought leader in Supply Chain and in Retail having been a member of the University of Minnesota Executive Supply Chain Board, the Reverse Logistics Association Advisory Board, and Vice-Chair of the CTA Wireless Board. I have been a guest speaker at top universities and trade conferences. As a Sr. Lecture at the Carlson School of Management, I created and now teach a master’s level retail supply chain class.I am highly engaged in the Minneapolis community as a member of the Illusion Theater Board. I also promote and participate in the arts, public radio, and our libraries. I enjoy traveling to unique locations to learn about world religions and diverse cultures.
