For more than 30-years, I have served seniors, teens, parents and children in institutional and community-based non-profit settings and local government entities. As a former Nationally Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, I apply strengths-based and goal-oriented program planning with measurable outcomes. Trained from the State University of New York at Cortland, I excel in documentation and accountability which enables me to develop Patient Care Plans, Leisure Assessments, conduct interviews and utilize the in-take process to develop Inclusion Plans, facilitate parent classes, facilitate discussion groups and use Microsoft Word and the internet to develop articles and identify resources.I support underserved and marginalized persons to live self-determined quality lives and empower marginalized and oppressed people to self-advocate and expect inclusion and respect. This is accomplished through public speaking, community education and curriculum-based classes, and collaborating with social service and political organizations that serve historically traumatized, under-represented and communities subjected to micro aggression and hate-speech.
