- Develop, manage, and facilitate implementation of multiple projects to improve sustainability and quality of county operations while reducing costs- Worked with all county departments, constitutional offices, and agencies to develop and implement the first Dane County Government Sustainable Operations Plan and department-specific sustainable operations action plans- Spearheaded system-wide change in Dane County Government’s waste reduction and recycling practices. In collaboration with Solid Waste and Facilities Management Divisions, researched and developed recommendations for a new system to improve waste diversion and recycling, reduce costs, and educate staff and the public. Conducted outreach and training of staff during rollout of new system across over 1 million square feet of county facilities and offices. - Manage and facilitate the competitive application and selection process for the annual $2 million Dane County SMART (Sustainable Management and Renewable Technologies) Fund for county department capital projects. - Develop, manage, and facilitate independent evaluations of county programs and operations, including: Improving Equity and Access in Dane County Parks and Zoo, Equity in Dane Co. Contracting and Procurement Policies and Procedures, Racial Equity Analysis of Dane Co. Government, Sheriff's Office Overtime Policies/Practices, Dane Co. Lake Level Management, and Dane Co. Human Services Contracting Process. - Convened and facilitated Dane County's Cross-departmental Sustainability Working Group, which conducted an updated Sustainability Inventory and Sustainability Impacts Analysis to assist with strategic planning for sustainability- Policy research, analysis, and writing to support Dane County Board of Supervisors, including county budget analysis and drafting-Staffing Dane County Board Executive Committee, Redistricting Subcommittee, Subcommittee for Review of Boards and Commissions, other special committees as assigned

Coordinated the Dane County Clean Air Coalition's programs and activities to achieve healthier air quality in the Dane County region. Worked with the Coalition to accelerate understanding and meaningful voluntary action on these issues through outreach to county residents, businesses, and institutions. Managed several grant-funded emission reduction programs and supervised the county's first Baseline GHG emissions inventory for county government operations.Projects included supervising interns to conduct an ICLEI baseline emissions inventory for Dane County as well as designing and managing a highly-successful, EPA-commended Dane County Woodstove Changeout program with the support of a U.S. EPA grant.
