I am an Associate Professor in Educational Linguistics with specific expertise in teaching and researching academic and research-based writing. I deliver external writing for publication workshops for doctoral students and early-career faculty, and can provide one-to-one consultancy on writing research articles. I edit the Sheffield Institute of Education blog and am a Deputy Director of the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership (Education, Childhood and Youth pathway). I am associate editor of the Journal of English for Academic Purpose and serve on the editorial board of the Journal of Second Language Writing.
