Product ManagerQvc May 2024 - PresentWest Chester, Pennsylvania, UsI am a Product Manager supporting the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team at QVC. I assist in educating our business team members in how to engage in our process, support our Citizen Developer program, track the ROI for new bots coming into our pipeline, and help delivery bots with meaningful value back to the company. I have also been working with our business team members to better define their own processes prior to automation so we have a successful engagement. -
Senior Application DeveloperQvc Mar 2018 - Jun 2024West Chester, Pennsylvania, Us -
Application DeveloperQvc Jul 2014 - Mar 2018West Chester, Pennsylvania, UsAs an Application Developer for QVC, my primary responsibilties are helping to configure SaaS applications by working with third party contracting firms, as well as some basic business analyst work to properly translate our company's needs into our SaaS applications. I am also responsible for supporting our on-site applications configured through Appian, both through the tool itself and by doing server maintanance.I am currently working on implementing RSA Archer, a GRC tool, with a group of contractors. I have been responsible for organizing requirements, coordinating meetings and working closely with our external contracting team in order to deliver our business goals. I have also helped to reconsicle four different internal organizational business needs into one system in order to normalize our data and provide true results in our reports. I am also involved in our company's governance of the RSA Archer tool, helping to define standards on how to develop within the application, how certain applications should be used, and how data should be maintained within the system. Along with this, I am helping to define user roles from scratch within the system to ensure confidentiality and privacy of personal data. I am also responsible for production & enhancement support of our on-premise installation of Appian. I maintain the UNIX server on which the application currently rests, which includes file clean up, manually launching the application via command line and keeping tabs on the current server space. I also provide front-end enhancement support to some existing workflows within Appian. Both of the applications mentioned above have a global reach throughout our company. At this point, I have experience working in a global setting, working with our partners in Japan, Germany, UK and more. This often involves either international conference or video calls to provide application demonstrations or to gather & provide feedback on either application. -
Associate Application DeveloperQvc Jul 2013 - Jul 2014West Chester, Pennsylvania, UsMy responsibilities as a QVC Associate Application Developer included supporting internal applications that dealt with employee scheduling and HR Management. These applications were primarily written in Java and supported with an Oracle database. I also helped support some legacy applications that were originally developed in VB 6. Each application supported above involved meeting with clients to obtain and analyze the requirements for each enhancement. Our team worked in an Agile atmosphere to meet the anticipated deadline for each major enhancement, using tools such as XPlanner in order to track stories and sprints. I have also helped support our company through internal projects, such as upgrading our time management system to Workforce and upgrading our employee management system from Peoplesoft to Workday. The Workforce project primarily involved editing old VB 6 code and Oracle stored procedures. Our Workday project was the first global project I was involved with. For Workday, I helped to pull data from old IBM DB2 servers using the SQR Language from Peoplesoft. I also helped to clean the data and translate certain pieces using VLookups and other macros within Excel. I also created a batch command from scratch to help consolidate multiple files, clean up extra spaces, and in general clean the data to be loaded into Workday.I also helped to create a Java batch process that would read XML files generated from Workday and load them into a SQL database for additional record keeping. This batch process included technologies such as MyBatis for database mapping, JAXB for marshalling and unmarshalling of the XML files into Java Objects, and some basic elements of the SPRING framework in order to connect configuration files. QVC has an on-call rotation, which includes 24/7 support of our applications. Even with our SaaS solutions, I am responsible for troubleshooting issues with our solutions and contacting the vendor to identify and resolve various issues. -
