 Successfully managed AP department operations throughout organization’s rapid growth from 100 to 250 employees and transition to a public company (DTIL). Reorganized and streamlined department operations including managing transition to a fully digital work environment and writing standard operating procedures. Led strategy and transition to outsourced procurement and AP system with full oversight and follow up responsibility for reconciling 900–1,000 line items a month with an average of 2,000 invoices a month.

 Provided advanced operational support and strategic leadership as foundation grew from $87M to $270M. Managed entire accounts payable function for a statewide foundation covering 67 counties with 60 affiliates. Also paid operational expenses for 2 other organizations. Monitored thousands of checks for 1,200 active grant and scholarship funds. Identified and resolved any issues prior to disbursement. Reconciled 28 credit cards with an average of 250–650 transactions per month. Analyzed and refined reconciliation process which greatly improved tracking and efficiency. Discovered major discrepancies with health insurance billing and worked closely with insurance company and foundation’s CFO to resolve issues. Additional tasks: tracked physical assets, prepared W-9s and 1099s, calculated health savings account, maintained all contracts, managed monies related to annual fundraising events and assisted with onsite registration, and trained staff on proper procedures for finance document submittal. Analyzed and played key leadership role in refining policies and procedures that improved accuracy, efficiency and internal controls to ensure Accounting Best Practices. Offered to assist HR Coordinator, taking on more and more tasks that included: handling 403(b) sign-ups, conducting new employee orientation, overseeing leave time for all employees, managing health insurance and retirement plan enrollment, and resolving various HR transaction issues.
