Elle exerce ses attributions sous le contrôle de l’État, la tutelle étant assurée par la Préfecture de Région. La Chambre de Métiers et de l’Artisanat est présente pour accompagner le chef d’entreprise artisanale dans chaque étape de sa vie professionnelle : apprentissage, création ou reprise d’entreprise, formation, développement, transmission. Elle travaille pour ce faire en concertation avec les organisations professionnelles des 250 métiers de l’artisanat.
