Managed multiple teams at Seattle Childrens Research Institute: Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, Security, Front Desk, Glass wash and Asset Management. Team of 30 people plus a key security contractorParticipated in the acquisition of Seattle Biomed, which included a new site and 4 staff members added to my team. For the organization it was the addition of ~20 PHD scientists and labs on 4 floors in a leased space 1 mile away from our downtown campus. Supported the construction of SCRI's flagship 13 story Building Cure from ground-breaking to opening the facility and further floor build outs. Accomplishments included:Tracking and negotiating with contractorsBid packages for equipment ensuring the project was on and under budget.Opening of the Receiving and Glasswash spaces on-time to serve the labs moving into the facility.Procurement and Receiving support of the Mfg. facility which was the first to occupy the space.Follow on moves of 5 labs from other buildings.Managed federal grants referenced on requisitions to ensure the purchases were allowable and that all necessary documentation was completed meeting federal regulations. On the ERP team for the new system Seattle Children's will be moving to over the next several years.Day to day oversight for the procurement of goods and services for the organization. Annual spend ~$30MM.

Team lead and individual contributor responsible for supporting the procurement of raw materials for biopharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D laboratories. In addition to the Purchasing team in WA we supported procurement for the site in San Francisco and I collaborated with the BMS Procurement and Supply Chain team across the US leveraging the overall spend of the organization as well as timing requirements for critical raw materials such as media procured from the same supplier.

Started my career with Immunex Corp. as a Purchasing Assistant ultimately being promoted multiple times. At the time of the sites closer I was a Sr. Mgr. of Procurement and Facilities.Responsibilities included a team of staff and contractors managing the site. Achievements included managing the procurement of raw materials for the organizations drug production facility. Ultimately supporting procurement for the construction of a campus which supported 300 PHD and lab scientists including a vivarium and data center. With the acquisition of Immunex by Amgen in 2001 I joined the Amgen team remaining with the organization until the WA site was shuttered in 2015. In support of the sites closure I lead the sale and donation of equipment and supplies including participating with a team of colleagues to ensure the site was devoid of any hazards prior to hand over to the new building's owner.
