While their liberal arts education gives them a powerful toolkit for succeeding in jobs that do not yet exist, I will be helping them navigate their many options and define pathways that align with their interests, values, lifestage and skills.

Bennington College is wildly innovative and progressive in its approach to the liberal arts, knitting together learning and doing through faculty who are themselves practitioners and Field Work Term, an annual apprenticeship co-created through student hustle, faculty and staff support. During my brief tenure, I deployed my skills as an innovator to improve students' access to resources to allow them to take advantage of Bennington's remarkable work-integrated learning programs and access a robust portfolio of experiences to pursue their post-graduate ambitions with confidence and success. Through partnerships across Academic Services, Student Life, Advancement, ITS and Communications, I was able to use design thinking to modify policies, procedures and systems to remove barriers to access (funding, internship credit approvals, etc.), for students and simplify workflows and improve communications for administrators.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: I spearheaded and facilitated hard and soft skill development workshops (storytelling, teamwork, analytic techniques and focus group facilitation) for staff and created ongoing opportunities to strengthen these skills. I also created robust experiential learning opportunities for high school and college students (internships, externships, job shadowing) and mentored a WPP Fellow as part of their three year leadership development program.
