I am a self-motivated, results-focused Training Manager with 15 years of global experience in curriculum design and adult learning strategies who excels at leading teams in rolling out enterprise leadership development and employee training programs. A forward-thinking leader, I collaborate with managers to identify, understand, and close talent and performance gaps by creating best-in-class programs to grow the next generation of leaders. Upon taking the role of Training Manager at Manhattan Associates (a position I was promoted into after only 15 months!) I immediately identified numerous opportunities for growth, both in the culture and the services we offer our clients. Within a year, I established an annual professional development summit to leverage both guest speaker and team members’ expertise in identifying and overcoming challenges related to customer service, workplace effectiveness, and team spirit. The summit and associated trainings resulted in a cohesive team of cross-trained subject matter experts that extended the reach and visibility of our team both within and outside of the corporation. Since then, we’ve attracted service contracts from-- and been highly reviewed by-- companies such as SPARC, Tiffany & Co., and Ubique. Earlier this year I was charged with revitalizing our relationship with SPARC, a client who relies on our end-user training. I met with the client to understand their concerns and needs. Instead of rushing to produce content, we went non-bill on the project for about 6 weeks, working overtime to retool our systems to meet SPARC’s goals. I maintained constant contact with the client not only to stay abreast of their changing needs, but to reestablish a positive relationship. Our efforts paid off, leading to an exceptionally smooth go-live with Manhattan software in July and an extension of SPARC’s services contract. In the process, I standardized my team’s client communication and consultation practices and adapted new strategies for developing programs that better serve the client and their end users.My ability to lead cross-functional teams paired with my vast experience in leadership development programs, instructional design, and project management positions me to succeed in any curriculum development or client training role.
