As the Executive Director of Talent Acquisition I lead the design and execution of UCR’s Advancement talent acquisition strategy for; Development, Strategic Communications, and Alumni Relations. Through partnerships with hiring managers and unit heads I advise management on recruiting trends and best practices. By creating and implementing an innovative sourcing strategy I am responsible for building a high-caliber candidate pool and developing a diverse pipeline of candidates. Strategic elements of talent acquisition include: Talent Acquisition Planning & Strategy, Workforce Segmentation, Employment Branding and Candidate Relationship Management, and Metrics and Analysis.

MIND Research Institute enables elementary and secondary students to reach their full academic and career potential through developing and deploying math programs. A non-profit organization, MIND also conducts basic neuroscientific, mathematics, and education research to improve math education and advance scientific understanding.In my capacity at MIND Research Institute I am responsible for the following: Represents the organization as an advocate/spokesperson for STEM educationResponsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors- individuals, corporations and foundations, for contribution to the organization’s $19 million annual budgetStrategically plans and manages close relationships with individuals, companies and foundations Researches and identifies prospective individual donors, companies and foundationsWrites correspondence and proposals Successfully closes gifts with goals established annuallyBuilds and develops relationships with business, community and political leadersCoordinates public relations activities including media, civic, and community involvementDevelops partnerships with other community organizations to broaden our reach and maximize resources Works with school districts, principals and teachers to ensure proper implementation of the program
