My career in retail began on the shop floor where at the age of 18, I started working for the Just Group – managing one of the brand’s Queensland-based stores.Over the next decade, I had what I would describe as a stellar upbringing in the retail industry, working my way up from smaller to larger stores, and gaining a deep understanding of all aspects of retail along the way.In 2003, I joined the Cotton On Group as Floating Manager before moving onto Regional Manager and then State Manager of the business’ Queensland operations. After two years, I relocated to the Group’s global headquarters in Geelong, Victoria where I played a major role in the business’ Australia and New Zealand expansion.Since joining the business, I have lead a variety of roles including National Brand Manager (Group), National Retail Manager (Group), Country Brand Manager (Cotton On), General Manager of Southern (Cotton On) and most recently, General Manager Cotton On KIDS.During my time with Cotton On, I embedded a best-practice approach across all aspects of the brand, drove leadership autonomy in each of its international markets, and created alignment across the southern region including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Brazil.I have a deep commitment to my people and I'm heavily invested in the relationships I have built with each and every member of my team. I'm incredibly passionate when it comes to their personal and professional development– ensuring each and every person is set up for success in their chosen field.I was appointed General Manager of the Group’s KIDS brand, in July 2020 and since then I have thoroughly enjoyed leading a high performing and dynamic team to further build on the brand’s success to inspire my customers’ next steps.I moved into the Global General manager of Retail role in November 2023, overseeing our global team and operations. After almost 21 incredible years with an amazing team, the most amazing experiences travelling the world and learning the craft of brands, retail, our people, and most importantly our customer, I’m taking a sabbatical. I’m excited to see what’s next very soon!
