I have worked in Retail and Marketing for over 30 years. My initial career was in Retail where I started my career at Federated Department Stores. I was President of the Retail Division of Esprit for 8 years and then moved to The Gap as Sr Vice President of the Gap Outlet Division. The business grew from 3 stores to just under 1 billion in revenue during the 5 years of my tenure. I managed all aspects of merchandising, planning, production and marketing.In 2001 I moved into the Not for Profit Space focusing my efforts on fundraising and serving on boards for various organizations. I served on the boards of the Menlo Park Atherton Foundation and Menlo Atherton High School. Raised money and chaired events for many different organizations including: Duke University, Menlo School, Theatreworks, NARAL, Stern Grove, Stanford.In 2009 I launched the Under One Umbrella Benefit to fund the new Stanford Women's Cancer Center. I have chaired the event 5 years and we have raised over 21M dollars.In 2009 I formed a partnership with Credit Suisse to create the CS Philanthropic Alliance, we consulted with not for Profit organizations as part of Credit Suisses efforts to cultivate and assist in planned giving strategies.In Feb 2012 I was hired by R.W Baird financial services in the Bay Area as a Marketing and Philanthropy Consultant developing and strengthening strategic alliances with not for profit partners. I will also provide marketing plans to raise visibility in the Bay Area and build relationships.
