My childhood passion for horseback riding has given me vast experience in the Equestrian Industry, as well as led me to my current position as a licensed instructor and farm manger. Having held several different positions at different facilities has helped me learn how to modify how I manage depending on the environment and owner’s desires. Currently, my main responsibilities include enforcing and monitoring the safety of students and animals, providing necessary care for forty-five horses among other agricultural animals, and organizing farm materials and information. I also teach students ranging from the age of six to fifty, beginner to advanced, how to horseback ride.While I love working with animals and people in the Equestrian Industry, I hope to expand my horizons to further aid people, animals, and our environment. The education that I have received as a Small Business Management Entrepreneurship Major at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s Charlton College of Business, has given me confidence and knowledge to pursue a career in Non-Profit management. I want to spend my life making a positive impact in and outside of my community. I am now in the process of preparing for a month long trip to Zimbabwe, Africa next year. I will be volunteering on a private game reserve and assisting schools in surrounding villages. My employees, peers, and superiors often praise my strong work ethic, passion, and responsibility. I am often required to efficiently problem solve, multi-task, as well as make split second decisions in an often dangerous work environment. I want to further develop my volunteer experience and hope to make it a career in my future.
