As a project manager/project engineer with extensive aerospace engineering experience, I've taken projects from customer requirements, analysis, and design, to production, customer support, and MRO. I enjoy solving problems and improving processes using critical thinking, forthright communication, and an untiring attention to detail. I am excited to explore opportunities in project management and engineering, as well as technical writing and policy development. I am interested in full-time, part-time, temporary, or contract positions.Additional Background:I thoroughly enjoyed my career as an engineer and felt lucky to have gained such a wide-ranging engineering experience in aerospace flight control systems in areas such as design, analysis, production, field support, technical documentation, and management. My assignments were interesting, challenging, and meaningful as I worked to ensure safety and performance in flight. My hiatus from career to raise a family has broadened my organizational and communication skills, as well as afforded me the opportunity to gain knowledge by researching and teaching various subjects. Volunteering on the steering committee of a highly ranked high school in Colorado required an intense education in public school governance, educational philosophy, and consensus decision making.I currently volunteer as a policy writer for a top ranked Denver public high school. I also volunteer at a start-up private school setting up their student information system and working on an ad-hoc basis on various administrative projects.
