Some of the other day-to-day interactions involve, VMware, RHEL, Tripwire, and Centrify.Sr. Windows Administrator – Department of Labor “Contract”At DOL I am the primary engineer to implement and maintain two Microsoft forests for the staging and testing environments for all DOL application testing. Environments consist of replication of all users, groups and policies of production. I am also the primary Windows engineer for implementation and operational support for several of their security-based software such as Ping (SSO), CDM Archer, Radiant Logic and CyberArc. During my first year at DOL I completed an evaluation of domains and systems for NIST sp.800-53r compliance as well as windows best practice to make recommendations for the consolidation of the Department of Labor’s sub-departments to be administered by the OCIO office. Some of my day-to-day responsibilities include Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SCCM, SCOM, VMWare ESX, and Storage. Additionally, I provide technical/operational support for the OCIO’s infrastructure.

At Mercy Medical Center I held two roles Epic Technical coordinator and Sr. Systems Engineer. Please see below for my responsibilities in those roles.Epic Technical CoordinatorManaged, architected and coordinated the implementation of a new EMR (Epic-Electronic Medical records) system for approximately 100 physician offices located outside of the main hospital. The backend infrastructure was designed with a Vblock 700k (Ucs Blades and Vmax 20K). In this role I coordinated and managed all the technical aspects, scheduling, equipment and deadlines for the technical team. Senior System Engineer Designed and architect an enhanced 2003 Active Directory structure for Mercy and started the upgrade to Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory Directory Services. Architected, implemented and migrated approximately 5000 Exchange 2003 mailboxes to Exchange 2010. Architected, executed and maintain the Blackberry Enterprise Server infrastructure and Mobile Iron for mobile device Infrastructure. Assisted with the implementation of Enterprise Vault in an Exchange 2003 environment. Assisted with the implementation of MobileIron (mobile device management). Provide operational support for all servers and set up the preventative maintenance/decommissioning system for server hardware in the Mercy Medical Center environment. Senior Systems Engineer- Department of Homeland Security; Science and Technology DirectorateDesign, architect and implement a Microsoft Windows 2008 network for research and development for Science and Technology Directorate’s remote site locations. Senior Systems Engineer- Department of Homeland Security; HeadquartersDesign, Architect and Implement Windows 2003 Active Directory, Systems and Security services for the Department of Homeland Security with 6000+ end users and systems. Specific design and implementations are enhancement of Windows PKI structure, Deployment of Winmagic SecureDoc Full disk encryption, Encrypted File Systems (EFS), Group Policy architecture and Administrative account functionality for the organization’s AD forest structure. In addition to the above security related projects I also completed the upgrade of the Windows 2000 Active Directory forest to Windows 2003 forest, scripted and deployed SMS packages, and designed, and implemented a new GPO methodology for AD. Another responsibility is the maintenance and upgrades of 200+ Windows 2003 Active Directory/servers for the institution. Troubleshoot WINS, DNS, DHCP and Active Directory issues.

Branch Technical Team Lead – Responsible for technology at branches. Managed, coordinated and implemented the EPS roll out of all new technologies to 52 Branches. EPS rollout consisted of all new core business banking applications, 52 - Windows 2000 Domain controllers, 530 - Workstation memory and operating system upgrades, 189 - LAN printers, and 254 Teller receipt printers. Implemented and maintained the System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Branch and Call center labs for pre rollout testing. Implemented and maintained 11 classroom settings for Teller, Platform and Call Center training at 3 locations prior to EPS Go Live. Executed and preserved a practice environment at each branch for user practice sessions after their training prior to Go Live. Assisted with the execution of VOIP at branch locations. Microsoft Windows 2000 team member – Implementation and maintenance of 250 Windows 2000 Active Directory/servers and Windows NT domain/servers for the institution. Troubleshoot WINS, DNS, DHCP and Active Directory issues.

Systems Manager: Oversee System Engineers and provide ongoing training, guidance and support. Responsible for analyzing, researching and specifying server hardware and software requirements for the company. Prepared for the implementation and migration from a Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000 Active Directory upgrade. Researched and implemented the corporate backup solution. Oversee Help Desk personnel, Perform Systems Engineer functions. Systems Engineer: Provide hardware, software and administrative support for the company’s 40 + NT, NT Terminal and Linux servers that serves approximately 300 end users and three locations. (Hunt Valley, Maryland - Glasgow, Scotland – Alameda, California). Conduct systems maintenance and troubleshooting for Servers and desktop computers using Windows 2000 professional, Windows NT workstation, Windows 9X, Windows 3.1, and Mac O/S 6.5-9 operating systems. Software experience; MS SQL Databases 6.5 & 7, Sybase Database, Vantive (Customer Relationship Management software), MS Exchange, Citrix/Metaframe, Veritas and Arcserve, Backup Software, PC Anywhere, Apropos Telecommunication (Customer Support center) Software, Internet Information Systems, Checkpoint, Compaq Insight Management Console, Compaq Insight Agents, MS Proxy, and Microsoft Office Suite. Call Center design, implementation and support via Apropos multi-Channel Interaction management systems. Also responsible for IVR (integrated voice response) programming in a TCL/TK Language for pil (phone interface language) scripting in support of Apropos. Provide third level Help Desk support. Troubleshoot WINS, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, profiles and general networking issues. Familiar with Cisco routers, Baystack switches, and 3com Hubs. Telecommunication experience; PBX programming (Intertel), phone line changes.
