I joined Annabel Langbein Media to review and streamline the Sales and Marketing of Annabel Langbein Books both in New Zealand and overseas. This involved the following:• Participation in a strategy group to carry out Market analysis of the brand and subsequent research into how this should be developed for TV both in NZ and Internationally.• Carrying out market analysis of existing products, streamlining manufacture and shipping, distribution and retail costs.• Working with key Retailers and Press to secure maximum exposure for AL titles, especially new book launches. • Re-negotiating key accounts with distributors and retailers to raise exposure in stores and to increase stock turn and margin.• Enhancing the on-line order options through the development of a new website. Section Manager Ladies Fashion AccessoriesThis involved heading up a team of 6 buyers and 12 concession departments covering all areas of ladies fashion accessories from hosiery, scarves, small leathers and handbags through to fashion jewelry, fine jewelry, watches, the Room of Luxury and the Egyptian room.Part of the Senior Management team at Harrods, reporting directly to the Buying Director Ladies Fashion, I was responsible for setting sales, stock-turn and gross profit targets and building ranges and promotions to achieve these goals over a range of Branded and Harrods brand products.I was also in charge of the shop floor, with all staff in this area reporting, via floor managers, to me.
