CurrentCoordinator for the development and implementation of the Federally funded Grant program KCCGO!This program works to mitigate the barriers of the long-term unemployed population and assist them in finding sustainable employment in their desired sector. Functions of the program include participation in workshops facilitated by Jewish Family Career Services which address the many facets of being unemployed and helps build on the strengths of the individual when pursuing job interests. Included in the workshops are resume and interviewing skills assistance, stress management, strengths assessments, the importance of networking including the use of social media such as linkin, bridging experiences and exploring traditional verses non-traditional forms of job searching. Other resources within the career centers are also available to participants such as mock interview sessions and resume portfolio creation. KCCGO! staff also provide case management throughout the job search process and up to 1 year from successful employment. In addition, there is direct involvement in connecting employers with job seekers through employer panels, speed networking events and job fairs.
