The past two decades of my career, I have been fortunate to be deeply involved with many challenging and rewarding opportunities that have fed my highest passions: working in all aspects of animal welfare, and serving the non-profit community. It has been my greatest pleasure to help not only domestic animals and their humans during times of need through my work in animal sheltering, and disaster preparedness/response, but I have also been thrilled to work with hundreds of marine mammals providing rescue and rehabilitation for those which stranded. Additionally, I've worked extensively with exotic animals in a zoological facility, and also with native wildlife providing rehabilitation for many species of mammals, reptiles, birds and raptors. I am equally well-versed in providing both hands-on assessment and triage for animal care and medical needs, as I am in providing the administrative oversight and leadership for all aspects of running an animal shelter and managing a nonprofit organization. I have been honored to serve several nonprofits centered on animal welfare in the capacities of Executive Director, Operations Director, Development and Fundraising, Program Management, Marketing , Publicity, Media Liaison, and Community Relations.Prior to my tenure in the animal welfare world, I excelled in the fields of medical marketing and sales, mainly working in the realm of laboratory testing. I successfully managed large territories, trained clients, and provided dedicated customer service to become a top selling representative in my fields of expertise. I love learning new things and sharing them with others, and the medical scientific world fascinates me - there is so much yet to be discovered!
