As a Microbiologist and a team leader within the Quality control department, I was responsible for the Quality testing and release for sale of a wide range of clinical and industrial diagnostic products. My main responsibilities included managing a team of 5 people and ensuring that our team efficiently and accurately tested products to the required standard, using a broad range of scientific techniques. I was required to be a proactive member of the internal production supply chain, as well as being responsible for the training and development of team members and carrying out their annual performance reviews.
