About Lisa Walker

Lisa has led Ecosphere+ as CEO since its launch in 2016, growing the company to have a significant share of the supply in the voluntary carbon market whilst simultaneously growing corporate demand and recognition for the role of natural climate solutions. She has delivered a variety of solutions to meet the needs of corporates from a number of sectors including energy, retail, consumer goods, luxury, aviation, finance and banking. Lisa has been focussed on the business response to climate change for more than two decades. She joined BP in 1999 and held various roles relating to climate and environmental strategy development and implementation, public policy formation working on emissions trading systems around the world and commercial low-carbon technology investments, including as a Director within BP’s low-carbon corporate venture capital business where she sat on multiple investment committees for major public and private funds, including the World Bank's Forest Carbon Partnership Facility. Lisa left BP to join BG Group in 2012 and became Head of Environment & Climate Change. Lisa worked closely with the BG Group CEO and Board to lead industry-wide action on a number of topics, most notably on climate related disclosure and the role of natural gas. She was Co-Chair of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition Oil & Gas Methane Partnership and on the Board of the UK CCS Research Centre. She was closely involved in the development and launch of the CEO-led Oil & Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI), for which she served as a member of its Executive Committee, and the launch of the Sustainable Gas Institute at Imperial College (where she also served on the Board) and helped BG Group achieve the highest external ratings for sustainability within its sector. Lisa brings a mindset of an integrated, holistic & commercial approach to her roles combining deep knowledge with a breadth of experience in the energy sector and as a climate finance & carbon markets leader. She has proven her ability to identify key long-term sustainability, policy and market trends, understand future threats and opportunities and build support for and deliver strategies and investments which both protect and create value.Lisa regularly engages at C-Suite and senior Government level. She has held leadership roles in HSSE, Strategy & Policy, Business Development and Investment. Lisa has been recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and serves as a UK Ambassador for the Clean Energy Ministerial Equality in Energy Transition Initiative.

Lisa managed and organised a number of high-profile CEO and Ministerial level events and provided regular updates to BP's senior management including the CEO Lord Browne and Deputy CEO Rodney Chase.
