Oversee the Patient Services department in all financial communication and patient collections for our Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Implement scheduling and pre-operative processes with new clients. Train, manage, assess compensation, and conduct performance reviews for Patient Services Coordinators and Assistants. Maintain updated knowledge of the health insurance billing and reimbursement to ensure financial viability of our clients and maximum use of patients' insurance benefits for surgical services. Observe and ensure compliance with state and federal law including HIPAA and the No Surprise Act.

-Verify insurance benefits for ambulatory surgical centers and communicate financial responsibilities and billing to patients. -Negotiate single case agreements for out-of-network specialized surgical procedures. -Determine financial viability of surgical cases and coordinate with professional offices regarding scheduling, billing, and post-operative services.-Communicate and collect outstanding patient balances including arranging reasonable payment plans for the benefit of the ASC and the patient.-Provide outstanding patient communication and cultivate productive relationships with surgeons, center staff, and community members.

-Manage client communications including explaining treatment procedures, financial estimates, and scheduling for oncology and emergency departments-Process in-house and specialty laboratory services for continued chemotherapy treatments; process prescriptions-Provide superior patient care and client services as a member of a multi-disciplinary veterinary team

-Oversee hospice patient intake process, Medicare and CenCal billing, and patient care coordination-Verify and obtain authorization from private insurance companies for hospice services-Independently develop and manage Hospice Volunteer Program including complementary therapies, music outreach, and compassionate companionship

-Conduct patient assessments, monitor and record patient behavior-Directly assist in patient care including therapeutic activities, hygeine, and meals-Assist in safety procedures including contraband searches and facility checks

-Public relations and marketing services for ethical businesses and entrepreneurs-Social media design and management

-Oversee 120 Clinical Care Extender interns in 6 different departments-Lead interviews and extensive trainings of incoming Clinical Care Extender interns-Conduct counseling sessions with interns to identify and correct violations of Pipeline policy
