Responsible for the operational management and future service development of LifeTec's statewide core and private services (advisory services, individual consultations and education) and the professional development of staff across all areas of assistive technology (AT).Other duties included:- managing the Occupational Health and Safety aspects of both LifeTec sites (Brisbane and Townsville) as well as the safety of staff when providing offsite, statewide services- responsible for the quality management and accreditation of the organisation.- representing (on a national level) the Queensland branch of the Independent Living Centres

This role allowed me to provide ongoing occupational therapy rehabilitation services to clients who were living in the community (ie not hospitalised or just post discharge from hospital) to assist them in achieving their functional goals.

Kuwait

Working as a specialist neurology Occupational Therapist, my role was to train local therapist in current evidence based Occupational Therapy methods as well as treating local patients. This role was based at the Kuwait Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital but also involved visiting each of the hospitals throughout Kuwait to support local therapists.While in Kuwait I also represented the Kuwait Dalhousie Project by presenting a paper at the Gulf International Rehabilitation Conference.
