Maintain accounting records for all City funds; analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and appropriateness of transactions; review cash receipts and deposits for accuracy; perform monthly and annual closeout of general ledger.Assist in recommending and implementing financial procedures, including audit procedures; review efficiency and effectiveness of financial methods, processes, and procedures; make recommendations for improvements; provide technical assistance to other employees regarding financial and audit procedures. Prepare City’s CAFR.Perform cash flow analysis and comprehensive review of City investment portfolio; monitor investments; ensure correct balances and transactions have been recorded.Assist auditors in completing the annual audits; determine accrual balances; compile data for notes and schedules; review all general ledger and sub ledger entries for accuracy; obtain information, retrieve records, prepare reports, and provide other assistance as needed for auditors.Assist in preparing the annual budget; participate in forecasting revenues, capital requirements and cash flow management for all funds; compare data and recommend appropriate adjustments; check, balance and verify completed budget requests; provide technical and analytical support as needed; proofread completed budget for printing.Manage fixed assets for the City; monitor capital assets for department purchase; post to fixed asset logs; ensure inventory and fixed asset records are current; prepares audit schedule and supporting documentation in compliance with related rules and regulations.Maintain the accounting records for all of the Incentive Districts within the City including tracking, billing and distributing EATS and PILOT revenues for the Tax Increment Financing Districts. Research, compile & prepare reports; analyze data and make recommendations; assist in making financial decisions; submit all mandated reports to regulatory agencies or others as required.
