Senior Executive Director Of Instructional Services And Principal Of Early College High School
Curriculum team lead for curriculum implementation, professional learning design and implementation for over 2,000 district employees, budget creation and oversight for federal programs Title II, Title IV, and Carl Perkins. Coordination of STEM programming and significant role with philanthropic and community partners. Continued to lead Union's Early College High School - EDGE (Earn a Degree: Graduate Early) a program that serves students who face socio-economic challenges to attending college, who are first generation college students, and who traditionally are under-represented on college campuses. Our first cohort, the class of 2021, graduated 28 students - 24 of whom earned the full associate degree while in high school. The remaining four students earned over 50 hours of college credit. 14 of the graduates attended one of Union's eight Community Schools (all are Title I eligible) as elementary students.This role also included leading Union High School's College and Career Center which housed two College Specialists, one Carl Perkins Career Specialist and one Union Career Connect Specialist. Union Career Connect, which began in 2014, enabled students with an interest in technical education to gain experience through service learning and/or internships. Our partnership with TCC and industry in the Tulsa area provided students in Union Career Connect with the opportunity to earn national recognized certifications.
