In my current position of VP of Products, I work with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and content development, as well as customers, to prioritize product planning and product lifecycles. I also help to define the product vision and roadmap and work in emerging markets. Previously at Defined Learning I served as the Director of Defined Careers Partnerships and focused on national sales strategy for Defined Careers as well as was the partnership manager for Defined Learning and Defined Careers in Kansas and Colorado. In my former position as Director, K-12 Partnerships at ACT, I led our nationwide College and Career Readiness Workshop (CCRW) initiative, assisted with K-12 sales, and also served as the voice of the customer on many internal projects. In my previous roles as a Senior State Lead and Senior Consultant, my main roles were developing new business, maintaining that business, and expanding that business for the life of the account as well as to fulfill service needs and requirements within the region, including training, such as presenting data interpretive workshops, CCRWs, and regional webinars. As a test development associate at ACT, I worked on several components of ACT’s program to help improve classroom rigor and strengthen high school curriculum. I also worked on various projects such as aligning different sets of standards, participated in panel reviews of multiple choice items for ACT assessments, as well as assisted with the creation and development of 6-12 instructional units and PD materials. I have also developed training materials for the constructed response portion of end-of-course assessments and trained raters how to accurately score student responses. My background in mathematics has helped me form valuable strong problem-solving skills and my post graduate degree program in educational leadership taught me how to be an effective leader, planner, and communicator, as well as helped me to see and understand the complexities involved in overseeing large educational systems.I am highly motivated, detail oriented, and hardworking. As a high school mathematics teacher, I was a pioneer in implementing more technology in the classroom. I wrote grants to fund the first interactive whiteboard in the school district and an LCD projector to go with it. Because my grants were successful, I was provided with the technology and successfully began using it in my daily lessons. I also secured funds for math software to better enhance instruction and student learning.
