NCLR is a non-profit, public interest law firm that litigates precedent-setting cases at the trial and appellate court levels; advocates for equitable public policies affecting the LGBTQ community; provides free legal assistance to LGBTQ people and their legal advocates; and conducts community education on LGBTQ issues.I provide strategic financial leadership in partnership with the board of directors, senior management, and the finance committee to support and improve NCLR's long-term financial health. I also lead the ongoing implementation of new systems and roles to help lead NCLR to the next stage of its tactical and strategic growth.

Through consultation and strategy with nonprofit organizations, ensembles, schools, and artists throughout the United States, I help my clients build operational structures and systems that work and mission-driven programs that make an impact. I specialize in nonprofit start-up and organizational development, arts education community programs for secondary schools, institutional and individual giving, financial and budget management, personnel contracts and labor agreements, and performing arts production and educational programming.

The San Francisco Contemporary Music Players is an internationally-recognized and award-winning chamber orchestra providing bold and dynamic programming since 1971. I led the organization’s strategic vision, financial planning and revenue development initiatives in addition to overseeing artistic planning, artist contracts and engagements, and production of live and digital concerts and events.A few highlights include -Led the organization through a 6-year period of stability and growth- Built the organization's first in-house production department for digital content creation, sales, and distribution -Oversaw the production of 18 commissions and 51 premieres - Oversaw the strategy and implementation of 5 new education programs serving youth through lifelong learners- Led the development and implementation of a 10-year organization-wide cultural equity plan- Awarded five times by the National Endowment of the Arts; Awarded the esteemed 2018 Fromm Music Foundation Prize for innovative commitment to the music of our time; Recognized as Great Nonprofits 2020 Top-rated Nonprofit -In the six-year period, secured just under 2 million in legacy gifts, major sponsorships, individual gifts and a substantial number of institutional awards including grants from large institutions such as the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Clarence. The UCSC Humanities Division, is dedicated to producing interdisciplinary research, student learning, and public programming in ways that break new ground, address urgent questions, and speak to a diverse array of communities. I served as Finance Director for the Humanities Division where I oversaw a budget of $19MM in operating funds, $3MM of extramural grant funding, and $6MM of endowment funds. I performed short and long-range planning for gift and grant administration, organizational and endowment development, and financial reporting and business processes.

Associated Students, Inc. is an auxiliary nonprofit organization of the CSU system and provides student-centered programs and services that enhance student life through community engagement. I oversaw an operating budget of $10MM and supervised a professional staff of 5 and student staff of 13. I led accounting services, information technology, and risk management and provided business services for the CSU University Union and WELL Corporations. Our operating clients consisted of 50 full-time staff, over 250 part-time staff and six internal programs.

The Trust for Public Land creates parks and protects land for people, ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come. I oversaw the daily treasury operations and cash flow for the organization. In collaboration with senior finance staff of 6 regional business offices and 35 local offices throughout the U.S. my staff and I maintained financial, administrative, and operational continuity surrounding cash management.
