Lisa Baron is a Project Manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – NY District, Civil Works Branch. She has 30 + years of experience which includes ecosystem restoration initiatives, dredged material management, environmental dredging, remedial investigations and ecological risk assessment. Lisa manages the large-scale restoration program within the NY/NJ Harbor and Upper Hudson River including development of the Comprehensive Restoration Plan and Feasibility Report/Environmental Assessment for the overall Hudson Raritan Estuary and upper Hudson River. These programs resulted in construction authorization of 23 new restoration projects in the region. As part of the HRE restoration program and other projects in Jamaica Bay (Spring Creek North and South), Lisa has worked to advance restoration opportunities as natural and nature based features to provide coastal storm risk management benefits and coastal resiliency.
